IMMEDIATE OPENING: Law Firm Litigation Paralegal-Personal Injury

Requirements:
- Legal secretary/paralegal must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be eager to work with very busy attorney, be self-motivated, and have a great attitude.
- Profound grasp of/managing/meeting legal process deadlines, prepare attorneys for appointments.
- Personal Injury (or equivalent) Litigation Experience is a must.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation of pleadings including motions, subpoenas, notices, hearings, and discovery.
- Coordination/scheduling of meetings, hearings, appointments, depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Draft and compose routine correspondence, read, and distribute incoming mail.
- Talk to clients, attorneys, adjusters, J.A.'s, opposing counsel, etc.
- Organize and manage files, both electronic and physical.
- Enter data in case management program

Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
Experience:
- General office experience: 3+ years
- Paralegal: 3+ years in Personal Injury law

Law Firm Litigation Assistant-Personal Injury

- Managing deadlines, assisting in preparing attorneys for appointments.
- Drafting and composing typing routine correspondence, reading and routing of incoming mail, taking calls from clients, attorneys, adjusters, J.A.'s, opposing counsel, etc.
- Excellent secretarial and clerical skills (telephone & computer) required.
- Assisting in the organizing and managing of files, both electronic and physical
- Data entry
Skills:
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Organized, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with a great attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills (must be professional and courteous).

Law Firm Clerical Position-Personal Injury
This is not a remote position
Positions available in Brandon office
Duties include but not limited to:
- File high volume of legal documents (physically and electronically)
- Maintain integrity of physical client files
- Support case managers, paralegals, and receptionist
- Data entry regarding confidential client information
- Perform general office duties such as typing, operating office machines, and sorting mail
Qualifications:
- Qualified candidates must have the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to learn to answer multi-line digital phone system as back-up
- Self-motivated, detail oriented, well organized with ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn, apply and retain procedural information
- Ability to learn to recognize documents as they pertain to our area of law,
- Flexible, courteous, and professional attitude
- Physically able to lift file boxes weighing approximately 30lbs.
Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office-Outlook software and basic computer skills (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Available to work 40 hours per week MTWThF – 8AM to 5PM
- Prior office experience is helpful but not required
